PREVIEW: Exeter Wheelers CC Sporting Time Trial – Four Firs

Ayse

The first time trial of the series is a good’un.  Run on a 17 mile undulating course the route goes out past Topsham and  up onto Woodbury Common before a long sweeping decent to the finish. All the roads are single carriageway so for those who are nervous about duel carriageways this is the perfect one for you. The slight hill makes it more of a roadwoman’s course than any others in the series, but then the pure testers will still be putting in a good showing I am sure.

Entry closes on the 18th March and there is no entry on the line, so get your entries in now to avoid disappointment.

To enter go to the CTT website here, then go to the Events tab. Use the search filter with the district (South West) and month (March)to whittle down the list.  In the list look for Exeter Whls CC on the 30th March. To enter click the ENTER link on the right of the list- note; you cannot enter the event by navigating to the event page, it must be done through the event’s list page.  For event detail click the event name link.

The event should be listed as below, for those that know the secret codes of time trials it’s S7/17S,  I will check with Mike where HQ is and update this page, but all those details will be sent out with the start sheet. Needless to say there will be tea and cake, it is a time trial after all!
